I’m a board-certified family medicine physician, lifestyle medicine advocate, and passionate educator who believes the body was created with remarkable wisdom and an incredible capacity to heal when supported well.
I learned my medical degree from the University of Nairobi College of Health Sciences and completed my Family Medicine residency training at UPMC McKeesport, where I deepened my commitment to caring for individuals and families across all stages of life.
Early in my medical career, I began noticing a troubling pattern: many people were not truly “sick,” yet they were not well. They were exhausted, inflamed, struggling with weight gain, poor sleep, brain fog, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, and chronic disease — often while being told their labs were “normal.” Too often, the solution was another medication aimed at controlling symptoms rather than addressing why the body was struggling in the first place.
That realization transformed the direction of my work.
I became deeply passionate about understanding the root causes of chronic disease, which led me into the science of metabolic health, fasting physiology, gut health, hormone balance, and lifestyle medicine. Today, my work is centered on helping people understand why we get sick — and more importantly, how we can support the body’s ability to heal through sustainable, science-based lifestyle changes.
While I have a special passion for helping women navigate perimenopause and menopause with clarity and confidence, my mission is much broader: helping both men and women restore their metabolic health, reclaim their energy, improve their quality of life, and build long-term wellness from the inside out. I believe better health should not feel complicated or out of reach, and that many of the chronic conditions affecting our communities today are deeply connected to the way we nourish, move, rest, and care for our bodies.
My approach blends evidence-based medicine with a deep respect for the body’s design and built-in healing systems.
